RESEARCH AND QUESTIONNAIRES

Seen Not Heard carries out research to better understand the experiences and communication needs of Deaf and hard-of-hearing people taking part in sport.
Your responses may be used to help shape Seen Not Heard's research, communication guidance, resources, activewear and future development.
Some questionnaire answers may include information relating to hearing, disability or health. This can be classed as special category personal data under UK data-protection law. We ask for your explicit consent before you submit this information.
Participation is voluntary.

Where you choose to provide information through our Sports Experience Questionnaire, we rely on your consent to use the information for the research purposes explained to you when you complete the questionnaire.
Where the information includes special category data relating to health or disability, we rely on your explicit consent.
You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us. Please be aware that if you have not provided information that allows us to identify your particular response, we may not be able to identify and remove an individual questionnaire response after it has been submitted.

HOW LONG WE KEEP RESEARCH RESPONSES

Questionnaire responses will normally be kept for up to 12 months from the date they are submitted.
After this period, information that is no longer needed will be securely deleted or, where appropriate, retained only in a form that no longer identifies an individual.

WHO CAN ACCESS YOUR INFORMATION

Access to research responses will be limited to Seen Not Heard and services used to operate the website and securely process or store information.
We will not sell your personal information.
We will not use questionnaire responses to send you marketing communications.
If we later invite people to take part in further research or receive updates, this will use a separate opt-in.
